Through the use of gentle micropulses, called SoftPulse Technology® , bone remodeling is accelerated, allowing teeth to move up to 50% faster.
2. Alveolocentesis (Propel)
A new micro-invasive technique called AlveocentesisTM developed by university researchers uses the PROPEL® System, an instrument developed by PROPEL Orthodontics, to stimulate cytokine activity thereby, accelerating alveolar bone remodeling. The result is a 50- 60% faster movement when compared to traditional orthodontics alone. PROPEL can be completed chair-side in minutes and does not require any advanced surgical training. Additionally, the Alveocentesis procedure yields very little discomfort to the patient. There is zero recovery time and the patients are able to immediately return to their normal daily routine.
3. Accelerated orthodontic treatment (Wilkodontics)
is a dental displacement method that reduces the time needed to permanently move teeth into a desired position by creating a weakened bone condition. The procedure can reduce a two-year orthodontics treatment to one that takes from three to six months.
4. Dento alveolar distraction osteogenesis.
The DAD technique is an innovative method, because it reduces overall orthodontic treatment time by about 50% in patients who require extraction of premolars, with no unfavorable effects on periodontal tissues and surrounding structures and with no need to use any intraoral or extraoral anchorage appliances.
5. Self ligation brackets.
Ligature ties are used with traditional braces which does an effective job of holding the wire in place, but impart significant disadvantages including frictional binding and food trapping.
Through elimination of these "ties" Self-Ligating braces reduce frictional resistance.
This may permit the teeth to move more freely, and with less applied force.
As a result, treatment may be more faster, comfortable, and tooth movement more efficient. Additionally, food trapping is also reduced due to the elimination of "ties".
Treatment time can be reduced by about 30-40%
